With back-to-back 3 – 0 victories over Century in the first round and Edison in the second round, Capo Valley boys soccer advanced to the CIF-SS Division 1 quarterfinals for the first time since 2018. If the Cougars are to advance beyond the quarterfinals for the first time since consecutive finals appearances in 2011 and 2012, they will have to get past the #4 ranked Loyola Cubs.
Loyola, who enters the mid-week tilt with a record of 17-1-2 and as undefeated champs of the Mission League, will host the game on Wednesday, May 19 at 5 p.m. Capo is now 12-1-4 overall and ranked #6. The winner will play the winner of the #2 Servite vs. #8 Downey matchup, also being played on May 19.
