“Congratulations!” to the Frosh/Soph team who made it to the Final of the CVHS Tournament only to be beaten on a penalty by San Clemente.
“Congratulations!” to the Junior Varsity team who won the consolation bracket at the CVHS Tournament and then went on to win the North Orange County Classic Tournament!
A BIG “THANK YOU!” to everyone who helped run both tournaments; tournament directors, snack bar helpers, team mums, volunteers, coaches and anyone I may have missed. It was a great success thatnks to all of you!
Next year we will fine-tune some things and take some ideas to rais more money at the tournaments–Spirit Wear, raffle, hot selling food items, etc.

Junior Varsity are N.O.C.C. Champions!
Capistrano Valley High School’s Junior Varsity defeated St. John Bosco High School 2-1 to win the North Orange County Classic.
Capo ascended to the Semi Final undefeated, having beaten Pacifica 5-0 and having drawn a strong host in Sunny Hills 0-0. They then defeated Mira Costa 2-0 to face St. John Bosco.

JV Tournament Results
CONGRATULATIONS to University High School, 2011 Capistrano High School JV Tournament Champions! University defeated a worthy Rancho Santa Margarita team 1-0 in the Final, played in the Stadium at 5:00pm.
In the Consolation bracket, Capistrano Valley High School defeated Trabuco Hills 3-0 to clinch the top of the Consolation table.

CVHS Boys Soccer JV & Frosh/Soph will both participate in this year’s Adidas South Orange County Classic Soccer Tournament, to be held December 27 – 30, 2011.

Tournament Info for CVHS
Dear CVHS Soccer Families,
Capistrano Valley High School Soccer will be hosting two tournaments this year. The JV Soccer Tournament will be on December 3rd and December 10th. The Frosh/Soph Soccer tournament will be on Saturday, December 17th and Monday, December 19th. These two tournaments are our biggest fundraisers for our boy’s soccer program at CVHS. The proceeds from the snack bar go directly to the boy’s soccer program. With 16 teams at each tournament and parents at the field, this is a huge opportunity to make some money for our boys. Last year we raised almost $2,000 for the program, just from the snack bar profits!!!
There are two areas that we are asking for help from each family. One is time and the other is a snack bar donation. If you are a Varsity family, we ask that you contribute by bringing in a donation to support the tournament. Your team coordinator has been in touch with you regarding what you have been asked to donate. If you are a F/S or JV family, you will be asked to work (2) three hour time slots at the snack bar as well as to bring in a donation. If you would like to work in other areas of the tournament, our program would also greatly benefit from your support. Your team coordinator will be in contact with you regarding your donation (what and when to bring in) and volunteer time slot/s. If you have a student that needs hours, we will gladly sign them off.
If you are unable to bring the item requested due to time constraints, we would appreciate your family sending in a $20 donation which will be directly used to buy the remainder of the items that we will be selling at the snack bar. Please contact your team parent ASAP, so we will know what to shop for. Again, any additional donated items are greatly appreciated as we have a number of groceries to stock and supply the snack bar menu. Please bring your item to the field by 7:00am on either Dec. 3rd (JV) or Dec. 17th (F/S) unless specifically stated on the sheet to bring in at another time as these certain items are perishable so we would like them fresh. You can also make arrangements with your team parent to drop off before. For JV and F/S, if you have a conflict with the time slot assigned, please change with another family and notify your team parent of the change. Thank you for all your help in making these two tournaments successful!
